My name is Yvonne (Yve) Brockman and I am a registered licensed realtor with a prestigious brand that is very well recognized in the GTA and cottage country, Harvey Kalles Real Estate Ltd., Brokerage.

Although I’ve been living North of Mosley in Wasaga, steps to the beach for the last 7 years, I have chosen to stay with Harvey Kalles Real Estate Ltd., a family owned and established extremely successful brokerage since 1957 because of their tremendous reputation , family values, and how well connected they are to GTA Buyers. Actually, Mr. Harvey Kalles, the owner and founder of Harvey Kalles Real Estate Brokerage, sadly just passed on this year at the ripe age of 98 years. His son, Michael Kalles will continue to successfully run the ship.

The real estate market in Simcoe County has seen some pretty wild fluctuations since 2021, with soaring prices mainly due to the COVID pandemic and people wanting to get away from the big cities and work from home. Prices since then have plunged due to inflation, supply chain issues, and what seemed to be ever rising interest rates,

Mercifully, interest rates have finally begun to come down, in fact as of today, September 17th, 2025, the Bank of Canada has lowered the prime rate by a quarter of a percent in order to convince hesitant Buyers to get off the fence. This in-between shoulder season is a great time to buy or sell!

Preparation is key before presenting your home to the public. I can refer you to excellent handymen who can do those touch ups that will increase your home’s aesthetic.

And finally, pricing your home accurately, is probably the most important thing you can do. I collaborate with my clients by showing them all the recent comparable sales in their neighbourhood, and together we agree on the best asking price to get your home sold for top dollar!
